Deirdre P. Dixon
Deirdre is an experienced leader with extensive management knowledge in planning and operations capacities. She has over 20 years of experience spanning strategic planning, leading multi-service teams, and solving critical issues relating to tactical and strategic operations.
Lieutenant Colonel Dixon began her career as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, where she held numerous command and staff positions. Her next assignment was at Fort Stewart, GA to serve in the 260th Quartermaster Battalion with the 24th Infantry Division. While there she deployed with the unit to Saudi Arabia and took command of a 300 soldier company. Her unit was responsible for supplying ammunition during Desert Shield/Storm in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. After her return to the United States, Deirdre led a team providing disaster relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. Deirdre then attended The Fuqua School of Business in preparation for her next assignment, teaching the core leadership course and a leadership elective at West Point. After additional schooling at the Air Force Command and Staff College, Deirdre was selected to be the Corps Parachute Officer and second in command for a 1,200 person airborne unit. Her final position in the Army was as the Professor of Military Science at the University of Tampa where she guided the program from 209th to 35th in the nation.
Deirdre’s education includes a Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, United States Air Force Command and Staff College and a Master of Science degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University.
